poem 4

To my love, the soul of my life,

To my love, my one and only wife:

What has been written

With the ink of our blood,

Borne forth from the fount

Of our one, united heart;

What has been written

With the pen of our lives,

Deep within the bones

Of our one, united flesh;

What has been written

Upon the eye of our soul,

Scribed in love and in life,

Written with liberal liberty,

Let it remain.

Let it remain,

Until the times when

There is no more time,

Until all the stars

Cease to show their shine,

Until the day when

There is no more day,

Until the time when

There is no more way.

Let it remain.

What has been written,

Let it remain;

What has been scripted,

Let it remain;

What we have written,

Let it remain,

Upon the skies

And in the stars,

Upon our souls

And in our hearts,

Let it remain.
